What's this about?Forgive and Forgotten is a true story of caring for a difficult parent with Alzheimer's. There are books that talk about the sadness of losing a loved one, and others that address the practical aspects of caregiving. This book details a situation that's not at all unusual but is not often discussed: caring for difficult people. In walking out your faith, how does God show up in the midst of the mess? Will we notice when He does? Will we open up our lives to seeing and hearing God in the uproar of caring for someone you don't even like?

Recommendation
Donna Kemper, a former Stephen Minister, has written an excellent book on caring for someone with Alzheimer's. She cared for her mother who didn't want her as a child.
In the book she is so real about her feelings that it would give permission to anyone reading it to know that their feelings are okay and how to process them so they can be free. Along with being very real about her experience she also shares how God continued to show up and bring change in her life.
I would highly recommend this book for those caring for an Alzheimer's patient.
